CONTRAINDICATIONS
• activeinfectionorsuspectedlatentinfectioninoraboutthe
hip joint;
• bonestockthatisinadequateforsupportorxationofthe
prosthesis;
• skeletalimmaturitypatients;and,
• anymentalorneuromusculardisorderthatwouldcreatean
unacceptableriskofinstability,prosthesisxationfailureor
complicationsinpostoperativecare.

Seepackageinsertforwarnings,precautions,adverseeffects
andotheressentialproductinformation.BeforeusingSecur-Fit
AdvancedSteminstrumentation,verify:
• Instrumentshavebeenproperlydisassembledpriortocleaning
and sterilization;
• Instrumentshavebeenproperlyassembledpost-sterilization;
• Instrumentshavemaintaineddesignintegrity;and,
• Propersizecongurationsareavailable.

Indicationsforuseinclude:
• Noninammatorydegenerativejointdiseaseincluding
osteoarthritisandavascularnecrosis;
• Rheumatoidarthritis;
• Correctionoffunctionaldeformity;
• Revisionprocedureswhereothertreatmentsordeviceshave
failed; and,
• Nonunions,femoralneckandtrochantericfracturesofthe
proximalfemurwithheadinvolvementthatareunmanageable
usingothertechniques.
AdditionalindicationspecictouseofSecur-FitAdvancedHip
StemswithcompatibleHowmedicaOsteonicsConstrainedLiners:
• WhenthestemistobeusedwithcompatibleHowmedica
OsteonicsConstrainedLiners,thedeviceisintendedforusein
primaryorrevisionpatientsathighriskofhipdislocationdue
toahistoryofpriordislocation,boneloss,softtissuelaxity,
neuromusculardisease,orintra-operativeinstability.
