Annual maintenance
Be careful !
Wait until the stove has cooled
down completely before carrying out
maintenance.
Do not forget, once a year, to :
– sweep your chimney,
– clean between the fixed part of the
stove and the drum ;
– check the condition of the seals ;
– clean the space beneath the ash
pan.
Chimney-sweeping
Do the sweeping at least once a year
in accordance with local and national
regulations in force.
Pass on this information to the
chimney sweep.
Before carrying out the actual
sweeping, Stûv recommends the use
of a dose of a fulgent (see “Quick
maintenance of the flue” item in the
previous section).
Consult the instructions on the
product for use. Use a product
suitable for the type of chimney flue.
