Environmental Requirements
This section describes the environmental conditions that are prerequisite to
installing the cabinet.
Temperature, Humidity, and Altitude
TABLE 2-11 lists operating and nonoperating relative humidity, and altitude ranges
for the Sun Fire cabinet. The table also provides the optimum operating condition
in the recommended operating environment. Operating computer equipment for
extended periods of time at or near the temperature or humidity extremes is known
to significantly increase the failure rate of hardware components
.
