  If no espresso pours from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, ensure the water tank is filled. If it is empty, fill it with water and prime it through the group head by pressing the 1 CUP button to allow water to run through. Other possible causes include coffee grind being too fine (change to a coarser grind), too much coffee in the filter basket (dose less coffee grinds), or coffee grinds tamped too hard (apply less force during tamping). Also, check if custom shot volume is being used and reset to default shot volumes. A blocked filter basket, a dirty group head (a cleaning cycle is required), or a blocked group head (a descaling cycle is required) can also prevent espresso from pouring.

  If no steam comes from the steam wand of your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, the steam wand tip may be blocked. Also, make sure that there is enough water in the water tank. Fill the water tank with filtered water and run steam through the steam wand. The espresso machine may have scale build up, so a descaling cycle may be required.

Using stale or old coffee or pre-ground coffee can also cause this issue. If using pre-ground coffee, use the dual wall filter baskets provided.
