How to fix a tight group handle on Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker?
    • A
      Andrew MitchellSep 4, 2025
If the group handle on your Sunbeam Coffee Maker is tight to turn in the group head, it may be because the group head silicone seal is new and needs bedding in. Keep using the machine, as the seal will bed in during the first few uses and become easier to turn. It could also be due to too much coffee in the filter basket; try dosing less coffee grinds.

    • J
      john67Sep 18, 2025
If the pressure gauge on your Sunbeam Coffee Maker shows fluctuating pressure, there might be a fault or crack in the filter basket. Try using a different filter basket.

How to get more foam from my Sunbeam CAFE DUO?
    • D
      Derek SweeneySep 16, 2025
If you're not getting enough foam when texturing milk with your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, ensure the milk being used is fresh and around 4°C. For best results, use a chilled stainless steel milk jug. If the milk has been boiled, start again with fresh, chilled milk and heat it until the milk temperature gauge needle is positioned in the OPTIMUM zone, 55-70°C. If the milk is making bubbles rather than microfoam, ensure the steam wand tip is positioned correctly when texturing and tap the jug on the benchtop when finished to release trapped air bubbles. Keep the steam wand tip just under the surface of the milk to introduce air and create microfoam.

Why does my Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker steam wand screech?
    • M
      Matthew ParkSep 14, 2025
If the steam wand on your Sunbeam Coffee Maker is making a screeching noise, the steam wand tip might be too deep. Lower the milk jug and ensure the steam wand tip is positioned correctly when texturing.

    • R
      Robert ReedSep 12, 2025
If your milky coffee from Sunbeam Coffee Maker is too cold, the milk may not be heated enough. Ensure that milk is heated to the correct temperature, but avoid overheating it to prevent a burnt taste.

Why does espresso pour unevenly from my Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker?
    • M
      Melissa MyersSep 12, 2025
If the espresso from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker pours into the cup unevenly, it's likely due to uneven tamping. Make sure the coffee grinds are tamped evenly. There might also be an obstruction in the group head or group handle, so check and clean them if necessary.

What to do if Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker group handle is loose?
    • L
      Laura GomezSep 9, 2025
If the group handle of your Sunbeam Coffee Maker is loose or comes off during espresso extraction, it may not be attached correctly or has not been tightened sufficiently. Ensure both tabs of the group handle are fully inserted into the group head and rotated to the center position. Also, make sure a filter basket is inserted in the group handle before using it in the group head. Another possible cause is a damaged or worn group head silicone seal.

Why is the used coffee cake wet in my Sunbeam Coffee Maker?
    • R
      Roberta PriceSep 7, 2025
If the used coffee cake from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker is wet, it's normal for a little water to remain on top. Rest the group handle on the drip tray for 5 seconds to allow the water to dissipate before disposing of the cake. It could also be due to too many coffee grinds used, so dose less coffee grinds. Dual wall filter baskets will also keep the coffee cake wetter than single wall filter baskets.

Why doesn't my Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker have crema?
    • D
      Destiny MccannSep 6, 2025
If your Sunbeam Coffee Maker's espresso does not have any crema, or the crema is thin, it could be because the coffee beans are old or dry. Use freshly roasted coffee beans. The coffee grinds might be too coarse, so change to a finer grind. You may not be using enough coffee in the filter basket, so dose more coffee grinds. Also, the grinds might not be tamped (compacted) enough, so tamp more firmly.

What to do if no espresso pours from my Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker?
    • P
      paul24Aug 21, 2025
If no espresso pours from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, ensure the water tank is filled. If it is empty, fill it with water and prime it through the group head by pressing the 1 CUP button to allow water to run through. Other possible causes include coffee grind being too fine (change to a coarser grind), too much coffee in the filter basket (dose less coffee grinds), or coffee grinds tamped too hard (apply less force during tamping). Also, check if custom shot volume is being used and reset to default shot volumes. A blocked filter basket, a dirty group head (a cleaning cycle is required), or a blocked group head (a descaling cycle is required) can also prevent espresso from pouring.
