Why does espresso pour in drips from my Sunbeam CAFE DUO?
    • L
      Larry FreemanSep 2, 2025
If the espresso from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker pours out in drips, it could be because the coffee grinds are too fine. Try changing to a coarser grind. Also, you might be using too much coffee in the filter basket, so dose less coffee grinds. If you're tamping the coffee grinds too hard, apply less force during tamping. The machine may also have scale build up, requiring a descaling cycle.

Why is my Sunbeam Coffee Maker espresso too cold?
    • R
      Ronald ShepardAug 31, 2025
If the espresso from your Sunbeam Coffee Maker is too cold, it could be because the coffee beans are being stored in the fridge or freezer. Instead, store coffee beans in a dry, airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard. You might also be using a custom extraction temperature; try using the default 92°C extraction temperature. A cold cup or glass prior to espresso pour can also cause this; pour hot water from the hot water tap into the cup before extracting espresso. Finally, the group head or group handle may not be warmed before use; hold the empty filter basket into the group handle, insert group handle in the group head and press the 1 CUP button to allow water to run through.

Why does my Sunbeam CAFE DUO pump make unusual noises?
    • J
      Jill StewartAug 29, 2025
If your Sunbeam Coffee Maker's pump makes an unusual noise, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if there is water in the reservoir and fill the water tank with water. Prime water through the group head by pressing the 1 CUP button and allow water to run through. Ensure the water tank is correctly positioned by inserting it into the back of the unit. It's also possible that a new pre-infusion profile has been selected, which makes a different noise at the start of an espresso extraction.

Why does espresso squirt from the side of my Sunbeam CAFE DUO Coffee Maker?
    • W
      William SmithAug 28, 2025
If espresso squirts or trickles down the side of the group head during extraction with your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, it could be due to several reasons. The coffee grind might be too fine, so try changing to a coarser grind. You may be using too much coffee in the filter basket, so reduce the amount of coffee grinds. Also, if you're tamping the coffee grinds too hard, apply less force. Make sure the top edge of the filter basket is clean of loose coffee grinds. The group head inside rim, silicon seal or shower head might be dirty, so clean the parts with a damp cloth. Another possible cause is a damaged or worn group head silicone seal.

Why is there no pressure on my Sunbeam CAFE DUO?
    • A
      Amy BoothAug 27, 2025
If there is no or low pressure reading on the espresso pressure gauge of your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, it could be due to several reasons. The coffee grinds may be too coarse, so change to a finer grind. If using a coffee grinder, check its calibration. You might not be using enough coffee in the filter basket, so dose more coffee grinds. Also, the grinds might not be tamped (compacted) enough, so tamp more firmly. Using stale or old coffee or pre-ground coffee can also cause this issue. If using pre-ground coffee, use the dual wall filter baskets provided.

Why is there water around my Sunbeam Coffee Maker?
    • E
      Elizabeth YoungAug 25, 2025
If you find water around the Drip Tray area or on the benchtop of your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, it's likely due to water overflowing from the drip tray. Empty the drip tray if the red water level indicator appears through the drip tray grill.

Why is there no steam from my Sunbeam Coffee Maker steam wand?
    • J
      Jordan ChambersAug 22, 2025
If no steam comes from the steam wand of your Sunbeam Coffee Maker, the steam wand tip may be blocked. Also, make sure that there is enough water in the water tank. Fill the water tank with filtered water and run steam through the steam wand. The espresso machine may have scale build up, so a descaling cycle may be required.
