Chapter 4: Installing the Switch
Connecting the Switch to a Power Source
1. If not already present, install one or two AC PSU modules. Slide them into the PSU
slots at the rear of the switch until they click into place. (Push the red release lever
to remove a module from the switch.)
2. Plug the power cord into a grounded, 3-pin, AC power source.
NOTE: For international use, you may need to change the AC power cord. You must use a
cord set that has been approved for the socket type in your country.
3. Insert the plug on the other end of the power cord directly into the socket on the AC
PSU.
4. Check the LED indicators on the PSU and switch front panel as the unit is powered
on to verify that power is being received. If not, recheck the PSU and power cord
connections at the AC supply source and PSU.
5. If you have installed a second PSU, repeat steps 2 to 4.
