MPC FILTER
Inspect the MPC filter for dust and clogged ele-
ments.
Have your authorized Suzuki marine dealer
replace the MPC filter if there is any evidence of
clogging.
Inspect and clean the MPC filter as follows:
1. Make sure that the motor is stopped.
2. Turn off the power and pull out the emer-
gency stop switch lock plate.
3. Remove the fuel hose guard.

CAUTION
The engine temperature may be high enough
to burn your fingers.
Before inspecting the MPC filter, ensure that
the engine is sufficiently cooled.

4. Separate the filter case cap 1 from the filter
lower case 2 by turning the filter case cap
clockwise.
5. Remove the filter 3.
6. Inspect the case cap 1, lower case 2, filter
3, O-ring 4, 5 and upper case 6 for dam-
age. If they are damaged, replace them.
7. Clean the filter 3.
8. Apply soapy water to O-ring 5.
9. Reinstall the filter 3 and lower case 2 in
their original positions, and tighten case cap
1.
10. Restart the engine and check that there are
no leaks around the MPC filter.
