FUEL PUMP
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the inlet hose 1 and outlet hose 2 from fuel
pump.
2. Remove two bolts 3.
3. Remove the fuel pump 4 and O-ring 5.
INSTALLATION
Installation is reverse order of removal with special attention to
the following steps.
Fuel pump bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kg-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
Before servicing for the fuel system, read and under-
stand “PRECAUTION ON FUEL SYSTEM SERVICE” in
the previous section.
• Before installing the fuel pump, rotate the crankshaft
to bring the No. 1 (top cylinder) piston to Top Dead
Center on a compression stroke.
• Do not re-use the O-ring once removed. Always use
a new O-ring.
