Air Cleaner
Removal
Loosen the clamp strip of air cleaner and
carburetor, and then remove the vapor hose.
Remove the air cleaner (3 bolts).
Installation
Install the tank in the reverse order of removal.
Cleaning air cleaner element
Remove the air cleaner cover (8 screws).
Remove element mounting screws (6 screws).
Remove the air cleaner element.
With compressed air to cleaning dirty around the
element. Replace it if it is too dirty to clean.
Caution
The air cleaner element is made of paper so do
not soap it into water or wash it with water.
Install the element onto the element seat and then
install the air cleaner cover.
