  First, turn the ignition switch to the 'ON' position and press the horn button. If the horn doesn't sound, the fuse may be blown. You can remove the front right cover to check the fuses; if a wire is visibly melted, it needs replacement. If the EFi warning indicator stays on, or if the scooter has been unused for a long time without fuel stabilizer, contact an authorized SYM dealer for inspection.

  Turn the ignition switch off to stop the engine, then turn the ignition switch back on. Check if the radiator fan is working, then turn off the ignition switch. If the fan isn't working, don't start the engine; take your scooter to an authorized SYM dealer. If the fan is working, let the engine cool down and inspect the cooling system hose for leaks. If there's a leak, don't start the engine and transport your scooter to an authorized SYM dealer.
