5.9 Cleaning Fixed Core Plates
1. If cores are wet allow them to dry before cleaning
2. Using low psi compressed air blow dirt out of cores in
the opposite direction of the air ow (Fig. 7)
3. Once clean, repeat the core removal steps in reverse
order to install the cores
4. Once installed, close doors and turn electrical power
back on.
5. Test unit for proper function.

5.10 Removing Relief Fan(s) Motor
1. Turn OFF electrical power to the air handler.
2. Open front service panels with the key provided.
3. Slide return air lter up and out of brackets and set aside.
4. Remove the screws holding the exchange core cover plate and remove plate.
5. Remove the screws on the exchange core cover plate and remove plate.
6. Slide cores away from retaining arms, rotate towards front of unit and lift out to
gain access to fans.

It is recommended that
the cores be cleaned
every 3-6 months.
