How to stop persistent condensation on windows with SystemAir Fan?
    • A
      Amy TaylorAug 20, 2025
To address persistent condensation on windows when using your SystemAir Fan: * Reduce the desired level of humidity if there was an improper adjustment of the dehumidistat control; combine this step with the use of continuous exchange mode. * Have a contractor balance FAA if FAA is out of balance. * Open curtains or blinds if there is poor air circulation near windows.

Why does the supply air feel cold from my SystemAir Fan?
    • K
      Kristin BrooksAug 25, 2025
The supply air from your SystemAir Fan may feel cold due to several reasons: * Locate the grilles high on the walls or under the baseboards, install ceiling-mounted diffuser or grilles so as not to directly spill the supply air on the occupant (e.g., over a sofa) if there is a poor location of supply grilles, the airflow may irritate the occupant; you can also turn down the FAA supply speed. * If the outdoor temperature is extremely cold and supply air is ducted into the furnace return, the furnace fan may need to run continuously to distribute ventilation air comfortably.

What to do if FAA and/or ducts are frosting up in SystemAir Fantech ATMO Fan?
    • T
      Tanya WallaceAug 31, 2025
If the FAA and/or ducts are frosting up in your SystemAir Fan: * Have an HVAC contractor balance the FAA airflows if FAA airflows are improperly balanced. * Note that minimal frost build-up is expected on the core before unit initiates defrost cycle functions if there is a malfunction of the FAA defrost system.

Why is there condensation or ice build-up in the insulated duct to the outside of my SystemAir Fan?
    • L
      Lindsey BensonSep 4, 2025
If you notice condensation or ice build-up in the insulated duct to the outside of your SystemAir Fan, it could be due to: * Tape and seal all joints if there is an incomplete vapor barrier around the insulated duct. * Tape any holes or tears made in the outer duct covering and ensure that the vapor barrier is completely sealed if there is a hole or tear in the outer duct covering.

How to improve poor air flow in my SystemAir Fantech ATMO Fan?
    • S
      Stephanie GomezNov 11, 2025
To improve poor air flow in your SystemAir Fan, consider the following: * Clean exterior hoods or vents if the 1/4" (6mm) mesh on the outside hoods is plugged. * Remove and clean the filter if filters are plugged. * Remove and clean the core if the core is obstructed. * Check and open indoor grilles if they are closed or blocked. Also, have an electrician check the supply voltage if there's an inadequate power supply at the site, check duct installation if the ductwork is restricting airflow. Increase the speed of the FAA (i.e. change unit control from REDUCED to NORMAL speed) if there is an improper speed control setting. Have a contractor balance FAA airflows if FAA airflow is improperly balanced and have a contractor reconnect ducting if ducting has fallen down or been disconn...

What to do if the air is too humid when using SystemAir Fan?
    • A
      anna06Nov 15, 2025
If the air is too humid when using your SystemAir Fan, there are several potential causes and solutions: * Reduce the desired level of humidity if the dehumidistat control is set too high; combine this with the use of continuous exchange mode. * Wait until outside temperature stabilizes (winter) if there was a sudden change in temperature. Heating will also improve the situation. * Store a majority of your wood outside if storing too much wood for heating. * Make sure the dryer vent is exhausting outside if the dryer vent exhaust is inside home. * Open curtains or blinds if there is poor air circulation near windows. * Open the door or install a grill on the door if a well-sealed basement door is closed. * Check the defrost damper; if the damper is always blocking incoming f...
