The fan coil unit shall have a lter installed in the return air side. When the lter is not tted inside 
the unit, the installor shall install its own lter in the return grill or duct.

14.1.2. AIR FILTER
Changing the lter is a maintenance operation that should only be performed by qualied personnel.
To avoid clogging of air lter, it is recommended to clean it regularly.
Filter changes are required at the regular intervals. The time period between changes will depend upon the 
specic operating conditions.
Some applications such as hotels where there is a lot of lints from carpeting will require more frequent lter 
changes.
If light cannot be seen through the lter, when held up to sunlight or a bright light, it should be washed or 
changed.
14.1.2.1. AIR FILTER REMOVAL
1. On units with feet, remove the "FTG" grille (if present) and the foot cover at electrical side (Refer to 
the § FOOT COVER REMOVAL, page 18.
2. Release the "lock washers" on each side.
The attachment systems must be relocked in place after changing the lter.
Non  compliance  with  these  instructions  can  affect  the  unit’s  electrical  safety  and  render  the  qualied 
personnel performing the work liable for any ensuing damage.
