! 'Status' indicates that your radio is ready for you to select a status code relating

to your current activity. You may use the keys to choose a status

code or description.

! 'Channel' indicates that your radio is ready for you to enter information to

enable it to select a new channel. You may use the keys to choose

from a list, the key to enter a label, or the number keys.

A flashing ! indicates that the current channel is in the 'Repeater

Talkaround' mode.

! 'Alphanumeric' indicates that your radio is ready for you to enter some

information from the keypad as letter or number characters, such as a channel

label.

! When the radio is operating normally, this indicator will be off. If it is on

continuously, the signalling mute (if active) is open. This may be because the

microphone is off hook or the key has been pressed. If the indicator is

continually flashing, the has been pressed for long enough to open the RF

squelch.

! 'Aux' indicates the state of the auxiliary options switch. Depending upon the

configuration of the auxiliary options switch, the ! indicator may be

either on continuously or off continuously, or may only come on whilst the

key is held pressed.

! 'Function' indicates that your radio is ready for you to change its user

programmable options. The display will show the last option viewed

previously. You may use the keys to choose a new option and the

key to change it.

! 'Enter' comes on when the key is pressed.

F All indicators off. If your radio is able to transmit DTMF tones, it is possible

only in this mode.
