1.3 Frequency Bands and Sub-bands
Much of the circuitry in the base station is common to all frequency bands,
and is therefore covered by a single description in this manual. In some
cases the descriptions refer to specific bands or sub-bands, and these are
identified with the letters listed in the following table.

B band B1 = 136MHz to 174MHz
B3 = 148MHz to 174MHz
H band H3 = 470MHz to 520MHz
H5 = 400MHz to 470MHz

a. The 406 to 406.1 MHz frequency range is reserved worldwide for use by distress
beacons. It is not legal to program transmitters to operate in this frequency range.
K band
b
b. In Brazil, for K band, the TB7300 is considered to be configured as a base
station with retransmission of receive frequencies.
K4 = 762MHz to 870MHz
c
c. The actual frequency coverage in this band is:
Transmit: 762MHz to 776MHz, and 850MHz to 870MHz
Receive: 792MHz to 824MHz
