‘IS battery unconfirmed’ alert
If a faulty or non-IS battery is attached to the radio, the
message IS battery unconfirmed briefly appears in the
display, and the battery icon periodically flashes .
Check the following:
■ Is the battery an IS battery? For information about
identifying IS batteries, see "Intrinsically Safe
radios" on page 16.
■ Are the three spring-loaded battery pins on the
radio moving freely?
■ Are the three battery pins (radio) and the three
battery contacts (battery) clean?
If all appears to be in order, but the IS battery
unconfirmed message still appears, and the battery
icon flashes, replace the battery.
If the problem persists, consult your radio provider.
