How to decrease time to get hot water from Takagi T-H3-DV Water Heater?
    • Y
      Yolanda ForbesAug 6, 2025
If it takes a long time to get hot water at the fixtures with your Takagi water heater, remember that the delivery time depends on the piping length between the heater and fixtures. The longer the distance, the longer it takes. If you want hot water faster, consider a hot water recirculation system.

What to do if hot water is not available with Takagi T-H3-DV?
    • D
      Debra TranAug 11, 2025
If hot water is not available when a fixture is opened, verify the unit has a 120 VAC, 60 Hz power supply. If you're using a remote or temperature controller, ensure it's powered on. Check that the gas and water supply valves are fully open. Also, see if the filter on the cold water inlet is clean. Ensure the hot water fixture is open enough to draw at least 0.5 GPM through the water heater. Check if the unit is frozen and confirm there is enough gas in the tank/cylinder for propane models.

Why does Takagi Water Heater hot water turn cold?
    • T
      Tammy MartinezAug 16, 2025
If the hot water turns cold and stays cold, ensure the flow rate is sufficient to keep the water heater running. If a recirculation system is installed, check that the recirculation line has enough check valves. Verify the gas supply valve is fully open and the filter on the cold water inlet is clean. Make sure the fixtures are free of debris and obstructions. Also, check if the flow rate is too low.
