MAINTENANCE
Every 50 Hours
Inspecting the Battery Fluid
Level and Replenishing
¡Do not use the battery when the fluid
level is below the lower level. Doing so
will hasten the deterioration of the
internal portions of the battery and
shorten the battery life, and can also
cause rupturing (or an explosion).
¡Do not fill the battery above the upper
level. Doing so could cause the fluid
to leak, contact and damage the skin,
or cause parts to corrode.
¡Batteries contain sulfuric acid which
will damage eyes or skin on contact.
If acid contacts eyes, flush
immediately with clean water and get
prompt medical attention.
If acid is accidentally swallowed,
drink large quantities of water or milk
and call a physician immediately.
If acid contacts skin or clothing, wash
off immediately with clean water.
¡Batteries generate flammable and
explosive gases. Keep arcs, sparks,
flames and lighted tobacco away.
Inspection
1.Loosen the bolts and remove the cover
(1).
2.Remove the angle (2).
DANGER
WARNING
3.Pull out the battery and inspect the
indicator (3).
¡(A) Blue: Good
¡(B) White: Charging needed
¡(C) Red: Insufficient battery fluid
4.Also check the terminals for looseness and
dirt.
Replenishing
When adding distilled water, do so before
starting operations in order to prevent
freezing.
1.Remove the caps (4), and add distilled
water up to the upper level (H).
2.Inspect the indicator (3) then it turns blue.
3.Clean the cap’s exhaust hole, then tighten
the caps securely.
