RESTORE
Statement
RESTORE
[Line]
Restores a program’s access to previously read DATA statements.
Line
is
a
line number that contains
a
DATA statement. If you
specify
line,
the next READ statement accesses the first item in
the specified DATA statement. If you omit
line,
BASIC resets to
the first DATA statement in the program.
This lets your program reuse the same DATA lines.
Sample Program
160 RECID
X$
170 RESTORE
180 READ
Y$
190 PRINT
XS,
Y$
200 DCITFI FIRST ITEM, SECOND ITEM
When you run this program, BASIC prints:
FIRST ITEM FIRST ITEM
Because of the RESTORE statement in Line
170,
the second
READ statement starts over with the first DATA item.
