Why is there no sound coming from my Technics CD Player, or is the sound distorted?

  Several factors could be the cause: * The speaker cords may be shorted. In this case, turn the unit off, check and correct the connections, and then turn the unit back on. * An AC mains lead or fluorescent light is near the cables. Try to keep other appliances and leads away from the unit’s cables. * Incorrect operation may have been performed. Read the instructions and try again. * Also, ensure the flat cables are firmly connected. * If “U70” remains on the display, contact the dealer. * If there is a problem with the amplifier, consult your dealer. * Ensure that DEMO mode is turned off.
