3. OPERATING PRINCIPLE
For the wiring diagram please refer to the one included in the paragraph: “2.7 Wiring diagrams”
on page 19.
3.1 ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
3.1.1 VOLTAGE CONVERTER (POWER SUPPLY)
The voltage converter receives the high voltage and transforms it into low voltage (5 V). It can sup-
ply a maximum current of 2 A to power all the equipment electronics (display, angle sensor, RPM
sensor and NFC).
It is equipped with 4 dierent sockets based on the necessary standard.
In the CONNECT version, it is connected to the Low Kit and, through it, supplies power to all the
equipment's electronic components.
In the CORDLESS version, it is used to re-charge the baery when necessary.
3.1.2 DISPLAY (CONNECT VERSION)
It is powered with 5 V voltage, received from the Low Kit. It can be powered using the mini USB
port that is present, connecting a PC or specic USB power supply.
If powered via the mini USB port, when the equipment is turned on it is possible to see 3 buons on
the display that are normally hidden, and a heart shaped icon. These are used, in dierent combi-
nations, to access the display's conguration menu. For details, refer to the paragraph: “6.4 Display
conguration (Connect version)” on page 48.
The display is equipped with a Wi-Fi board.
When powered, the CPU is always on even if the display seems o.
The display is managed by SW that can be updated.
If the display is replaced, the QR Code sticker must be replaced.
