OPTION 05-TV SYNC SEPARATOR (SN 8060000-UP)
Modification M39746 replaces the previous 4658 Option 05 Al2 TV SYNC
SEPARA'IDR board with a new A29 TV SYNC SEPARA'IDR board. 'lhe 4658 Option 05
front-panel TV nomenclature and control functions are also slightly changed.
'lhe
new Option 05 TV Sync Separator circuitry produces more stable triggering
on composite sync and composite video TV signals in comparison with the old
Option 05 and provides a FIELD 1 or FIELD 2 sync selection feature. 'lhe new
Option 05 requires that the polarity of the input signals be observed since
the SYNC SEPARA'IDR operates on sync negative signals only. Operation of the
instrument from sync positive signals is described in operation of the sync
separator under Operating Instructions.
'lhis Manual Change Information Insert contains new specification and
operating information that replaces the equivalent information for Option 05
in the Option portion of this manual for the 4658 Option 05 with SN 8060000
and above. Use the information in the Option portion of this manual for
Option
05 instruments with serial numbers below 8060000.
