MOD PG
This manual insert describes MOD PG as it applies to the TEKTRONIX 475A/DM44
Oscilloscope. The Delay time and Calibrator frequency tolerances are reduced,
a front-panel light is added adjacent to the A TRIGGER HOLDOFF control to indi-
cate when the control is out of the (detent) Norm position, and the electrical
length of the vertical amplifier delay line is increased. A special probe
package and viewing hood are added to the standard accessories complement.
The legend "Property of" and the IBM logotype are added to the 475A front
panel, and an IBM "F & F" (serial) number is added to the rear panel. A modi-
fied DM44 Digital Multimeter with added INDEPENDENT/TRACKING mode selection
with timing compensation is added.
Differential Delay Accuracy. ccuracy of differential time measurements (TIME
or l/TIME mode) using the DELAY TIME POSITION and ~Tn1E controls will be accu-
rate within 0.75% of the reading ±1 count for measurements between points 0.5
to 10 divisions (except at 0.2 through 0.5 ~s/div, 1.0 to 10 divisions) from
the start of the A Sweep trace for sweeps faster than 0.5 s/div, over the
000 0 0 0
temperature range +15 to +32 C (60 to 90 F). Over the +15 C to +55 C
temperature range, standard 475A performance limits apply.
INDEPENDENT/TRACKING Modes. The two-position toggle switch added in the DM44
front panel functions only in the TIME and I/TIME modes to permit independent
intensified zone adjustment with fine time zero compensation between vertical
channels as follows:
