actual
FG

is
functionally
more
complex than
either of
the
figu
would
indicate
,
since
the
triggering
,
burst , gating , and phaselock functions have not been includ
ed to keep it simple , not to mention the CPU circuits . Refer
to the block diagram at the beginning of the Diagram section
while
reading
the
following
description .
Master control
for the FG 5010
rests in the CPU
. This
circuit provides the control of the various functions of the
FG 5010 , through the Peripheral Interface Port . Control of

the
IEEE - 488
interface
and
by way of
the
keyboard -
display
In
terface . Through the former , nearly all of the functions may
be controlled by an external controller or computer that is
compatible with the requirements of IEEE - 488 . Through the
latter , control of the FG 5010 by front - panel means is ac
complished ; display of status , output paramenters and val
ues , etc. , is also routed through the keyboard - display
interface . Feedback of the instrument status , such as the
phase lock condition , frequency accuracy , etc , also returns
through
the
Peripheral
Interface
Port
