Connections for the TSP command set
If you use the Test Script Processor (TSP
®
) command set for remote programming, use a RJ-45 LAN
crossover cable (one is included with the 2450) to connect the TSP-Link ports on the rear panels of
the 2450 instruments (see figure below). For more information about using TSP-Link, see “TSP-Link
System Expansion Interface” in the Model 2450 Reference Manual.
Figure 37: Connections for TSP-Link
For GPIB communication from the computer to the 2450 instruments, you only need one cable from
the GPIB interface to one of the 2450 IEEE-488 interfaces (2450 #1 in the figure above).
Set the TSP-Link node of 2450 #1 to node 1 and the TSP-Link node of 2450 #2 to node 2.
To set the 2450 TSP-Link nodes from the front panel:
1. Press the MENU key.
2. Under System, select Communication. The SYSTEM COMMUNICATION window opens.
3. On the TSP-Link tab, set Node to the node number of this instrument and select OK.
4. Select Initialize.
5. Press the HOME key to return to the home screen.
Repeat these steps for each 2450 instrument in your TSP-Link network.
