Group call / Eavesdropping protection / Captive call / EN 81-28/70 opera-
tion: Default setting: 0
0 = inactive (group call, eavesdropping protection and captive call inac-
tive)
1 = dial telephone number 1 (eavesdropping protection and captive call)
2 = dial telephone numbers 1 to 2 (eavesdropping protection and captive
call)
:
8 = dial telephone numbers 1 to 8 (eavesdropping protection and captive
call)
9 = dial telephone numbers 1 to 9 (eavesdropping protection and captive
call)
When group calling is active and any direct dial key (except for the i key) is
pressed, the respective telephone numbers (1 to x) are dialled succes-
sively until someone is reached who can properly acknowledge the receipt
with any DTMF tone or until all telephone numbers have been dialled. For
x=9, the i key is also dialled during the group call, otherwise telephone
number 9 is dialled when pressing the i key. After V1.61, the call is not
ended after expiry of the confirmation time when making a group call
consisting of more than one telephone number (configuration step 20 to
1), the connection will remain without confirmation.
When group calling is active, both the eavesdropping protection and the
captive call functions are active as well. When the eavesdropping protec-
tion is activated, the device is sending a double beep to the connection
every 30 seconds. When the captive call function is activated, the connec-
tion cannot be ended by pressing a button.
EN 81-28/70 operation: When an additional * is entered after the group
call number and before confirming with the hash key (e.g. 20 4 * # for
group call on 4), the system can be switched to EN81-28/70 operation.
For this purpose, the relays are automatically switched to operating mode
20 (cf. configuration step 08 and configuration step 12). Furthermore,
automatic daily test calls are made when group calling is activated (cf.
configuration step 9921).
