4.1 Pre-Driving
Taking necessary actions before
driving prevents possible problems
while driving.
To have optimal conditions for your
own and passenger’s safety, always
check all items that may affect driv-
ing performance.
Checking Headlights and Lamps
Check all headlights and external
lamps before driving. Consult au-
thorized TEMSA Service in case of
any malfunctioning.
Checking Tire Pressures
Check the tires and rims before
driving.
Perform tire pressure adjustment ac-
cording to the values given by the
manufacturer for different weather
conditions. (See page 150)
Check that all rims are installed and
xed properly.
Checking Systems for Leaks
Check fuel and lubrication systems
of the vehicle for leaks before driv-
ing.
Checking Engine Oil
Check the level and colour of the
engine oil (see page 178).
Checking Coolant Level
Check the level of coolant before
driving (see page 129).

Check that tires (also
spare tires) are not worn, torn,
damaged etc.
INFORMATION
Check the engine oil level
when the engine is stopped
and warm, wait till the oil
ows back into the sump. Park
the vehicle on level ground to
get an accurate oil level read-
ing.
WARNING
Tire pressure increases while
driving. Check tire pressure
when tires are cold.
