Point-by-Point Output/Play Mode
• The Generator supports points-by-point mode of arbitrary waveform output.
• Under point-by-point output mode the Generator will work out the output frequency
based on waveform length and sample rate and then the output waveform point-
by-point at this frequency, which can avoid losses of important waveform point
during the output.
• The default is “off” under Off status. Through working together with its supplied
software, the Generator will automatically interpolate or point to output an arbitrary
waveform by sampling based on a xed waveform length and the frequency
dened on the parameter list.
• To change the play mode to “on”, enable
arbitrary wave function rst, then use the
multipurpose knob and direction buttons, or
press Params→PlayMode to set it up.
• Under On status, frequency and phase option
will be ensconced and won’t show on the
parameter list.
• Note: The Generator doesn’t support point-by-point mode, instead, it automatically
interpolates or points by sampling to output an arbitrary waveform based on a xed
waveform length and the frequency dened on the parameter list.
Selecting Arbitrary Wave
• The Generator allows users to output arbitrary waves from internal or external
memory.
• To select the desired arbitrary wave, enable arbitrary wave function rst, then use
the multipurpose knob and direction buttons, or press Params→ArbSel MHz.
• Note: To select a desired arbitrary waveform from U disc, plug the U disc into the
USB connector on the front panel, use the multipurpose and direction buttons
together or press Params→ArbSel to select the memory type rst, and then
choose the desired arbitrary waveform.
• The Generator supports *.csv le with arbitrary waveform length less than 400,000
points or *.csv le with arbitrary waveform length less than 1 million points, while
the Generator supports C with arbitrary waveform length less than 8,000 points or
*.csv le with arbitrary waveform length less than 8,000 points or *.csv le.
