Use a four pronged socket or a suitable punch and hammer to remove the shaft nut (Fig-C).
Insert the original blade bar or pan bolts into the threaded spindle shaft. Turn the bolts until they contact
the bearing ring. Rotate each bolt in a clockwise pattern 1/4 turn at a time for 2&1/2 revolutions (Fig-D).
Remove the original bolts and replace them with 4 shanked bolts. In a clockwise pattern, rotate each
bolt 1/4 turn at a time until the spindle shaft is free from the housing (Fig-E&F).
In some cases it may be necessary to use a drift punch and hammer to fully dislodge the shaft. Care
should be taken to avoid damage to the shaft or housing.
