. THE MOST IMPORTANT CELL PARAMETERS
SoC – state of charge
This value indicates the percentage that the battery has been charged to. 100% refers to a fully
charged battery. The APU LV can use the parameters to determine the state of charge of a single cell
or battery module, and to stop the charging process if necessary. This prevents overcharging. The
software also has the same function for monitoring the discharge process to prevent unnecessary cell
charging. Battery limit states define the points at which the system stops charging and discharging.
SoH – state of health
This value indicates a cells health. Precise monitoring allows the system to detect performance differ-
ences between individual cells and thus detect damaged/defective cells.
