Trigonometric keys
The trigonometric keys sin , cos and GST calculate the sine, cosine,
and tangent ot the angle in the display, with the angle measured In the units
selected with the ORQ . iHv DRG 2nd [DRG*). or: INV 2nd
(DRG») keys. The trigonometric functions relate the angles and sides of a
nght triangle as shown below

The inverse functions of the tngonometric keys give the angle, in the units
selected, whose sino, cosine or tangent is In the display INV sin
calculates the arcsine (sin ‘ Y l IE cos calculates the arccosme (cos * ).

hyp — Hyperbolic function key:
Preceding one of Ihe trigonometric keys with the hypj key calculates the
hyperbolic sine (sinh). hyperbolic cosine (cosh), hyperbolic tangent (tanh),
hyperbolic arcsine (sinti ), hyperbolic arccosine (cosh* ), and hyperbolic
arctangent (tanh* 1 ) of Ihe number in the display These functions operate in
a fashion similar lo the trigonometric functions except tho angular mode
(DEG, RAD, GRAD) has no effect on hyperbolic functions The keys INV j
and hyp may be used together with either one first The toHowmg illustrate
