3. Select the two lines. True is displayed for parallel lines; false
is displayed for non-parallel lines.
Tip
You cannot compare an object to itself, so you cannot select an
object more than one time.
Example–
Investigate the following theorem: If two parallel lines
are cut by transversal (a line that intersects a system of lines),
then alternate exterior angles have equal measure.
1. Draw two parallel lines using the
Line
tool on the
DRAW
menu,
labeling the points
A
,
B
,
C
, and
D
as you create the lines.
Note
Press
e
immediately after you create each point. This
allows you to enter a label for each point as you create it. Enter
the label, and then proceed.
