Accessing the Gas Regulator
All dual-fuel range models and some cooktop models have
the gas regulator located inside the cooktop/rangetop,
under the left spill tray.
• Gas regulator is located inside cooktop, left side
• Remove the cooking grates
• Remove aluminum trim from sides of left spill tray
• Remove Star
®
Burner caps, then remove venturi from
both burners using a 13/16" socket or wrench.
• Disconnect the spark wire from the tab on the spark
electrode for each burner.
• Remove the shield on some models. Some models
have a double-width shield that extends under adjacent
spill tray.
