1.5 Maximum length of collectors
Caution The collector length must be designed for energy extracted from the
borehole/ground, which is required for the operation of the heat
pump.
In the figures below you can see what approximate operating brine ∆T you can achieve according to collector length and heating ca-
pacity.
The collector lengths may be applied independently on which heat source is used for the collector circuit (vertical/horizontal). In most
applications a ∆T 3-5
0
K is desired for most efficient running.
The lengths of the collectors are based on ethanol 30% at 0°C. (PEM40)
