This document is the User's Manual for the TOPENS CK700 Sliding Gate Opener. It provides comprehensive information on the installation, operation, and maintenance of the device.

Function Description:

The TOPENS CK700 is a sliding gate opener designed to automate the opening and closing of sliding gates. It utilizes a motor to move the gate along a track, controlled by various input methods including remote controls, wired keypads, wireless keypads, push buttons, and optional external receivers. The system incorporates safety features such as obstruction detection, automatic reversal, and a maximum motor running time to prevent damage and ensure user safety. It also supports a "midway mode" for partial gate opening and an adjustable auto-close function. The opener is designed for both residential and commercial applications, providing convenience and enhanced security for property access.

Usage Features:

  • Midway Mode: Allows the gate to open partially, activated by pressing button B on the remote control when the gate is in the full closed position. The running time for midway mode is adjustable via DIP switches (2 or 4 seconds).
  • Quick Selection for Gate Open/Close Direction: The opener's direction can be easily changed using DIP Switch #4, allowing for "Left Open" or "Right Open" configurations based on installation.
  • Reliable Rolling Code Technology: Ensures secure communication with remote controls, preventing unauthorized access.
  • Emergency Release Key: Provides a manual override in case of power failure, allowing the gate to be operated manually.
  • Obstruction Detection:
    • Stop in case of obstruction during gate opening.
    • Reverse in case of obstruction during gate closing.
    • Reversing sensitivity is adjustable via Potentiometer A. Photocell beam systems (optional) are highly recommended for enhanced entrapment protection.
  • Adjustable Auto-Close Function: The gate can be set to automatically close after a delay, adjustable from 1 to 99 seconds using Potentiometer B. This function can be enabled/disabled via DIP Switch #3.
  • Electromagnetism Limit: Provides reliable and easy adjustment for the gate's open and close limit positions using magnet components.

  • Easy Installation and Minimum Maintenance: Designed for straightforward installation, with clear instructions for mounting the opener, chain, and magnets, and connecting the control board and power supply.
  • Adjustable Chain Tension: The chain tension can be adjusted using the chain bolts at both ends of the gate.
  • Remote Control Programming: Simple process to program or erase remote controls. Each remote has four buttons (A, B, C, D) that can be programmed for different functions or multiple gate openers.
  • Wireless Keypad Programming: Allows for programming a wireless keypad with a default or custom password for gate operation.

Maintenance Features:

  • Periodic Checks: Every six months, the following items should be checked for proper operation:
    • Lubricate shafts and sprockets.
    • Keep the operator clean.
    • Check and tighten anchor bolts.
    • Check for loose or corroded wires.
    • Ensure the operator is well earthed and correctly terminated.
  • Obstruction Function Check: Always check the Stop/Reverse in case of obstruction function when performing any maintenance. If this function is not operable, the operator should be removed from service until the cause of the malfunction is identified and corrected.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting section with symptoms and possible solutions for common issues, such as the opener not running, remote control not working, gate stopping or reversing immediately, or the gate opening but failing to close.
