Changing the Hydraulic Fluid (continued)
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Open the hood.
3. Align the drain pan under the hydraulic tank.

4. Disconnect the case-return hose from the
straight fitting
at the bottom of the tank, and
drain hydraulic fluid.
5. When the hydraulic fluid stops draining,
assemble the case-return hose to the tank
fitting.
6. Torque the hose fitting to 50 to 63 N∙m (37 to
47 ft-lb).
Filling the Hydraulic Tank
1. Fill the reservoir with the specified hydraulic fluid.
IMPORTANT
Use only the hydraulic fluids specified. Other fluids could cause system damage.

2. Install the dipstick and hydraulic-tank cap
to the tank.
3. Start the engine and operate all the hydraulic
controls to distribute hydraulic fluid throughout
the system.
4. Check for hydraulic leaks, shut off the engine,
and remove the key.
Note: Repair all hydraulic leaks.
5. Close and latch the hood.
6. Check the fluid level.
Note: If needed, add enough to raise the level
to the full mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill the hydraulic tank.
