Removing the Hub and Rotor
1. Lift the front of the machine and support it with
jack stands.
2. Remove the 4 lug nuts that secure the wheel
to the hub ( Figure 37 ).

3. Remove the ange-head bolts (3/8 x 3/4 inch)
that secure the bracket for the brake assembly
to the spindle and separate the brake from the
spindle ( Figure 38 ).
Note: Support the brake assembly before
proceeding to the next step.

4. Remove the dust cap from the hub ( Figure 39 ).

5. Remove the cotter pin and nut retainer from the
spindle and spindle nut ( Figure 39 ).
6. Remove the spindle nut from the spindle, and
separate the hub and rotor assembly from the
spindle ( Figure 39 and Figure 40 ).
