Why is my Toro Lawn Mower vibrating abnormally?

  If your Toro Lawn Mower is vibrating abnormally, check if the cutting blade(s) is/are bent or unbalanced and install new cutting blade(s). Tighten the blade mounting bolt if it's loose. Tighten the engine mounting bolts if they are loose. Tighten the engine pulley, idler pulley, or blade pulley if any are loose. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer if the engine pulley is damaged, the blade spindle is bent, or the motor mount is loose or worn.

  If the blades on your Toro Lawn Mower aren't rotating, install a new drive belt if the current one is worn, loose, or broken. Install the drive belt and check the adjusting shafts and belt guides for the correct position if the drive belt is off of the pulley. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer if the power-takeoff (PTO) switch or PTO clutch is faulty. Install a new mower belt if the current one is worn, loose, or broken.

  If your Toro Lawn Mower engine doesn't start, starts hard, or fails to keep running, check the following: ensure the fuel tank isn't empty (fill it); the fuel-shutoff valve is open; the oil level in the crankcase is adequate (add oil); the throttle is correctly positioned midway between SLOW and FAST; the fuel filter isn't dirty (replace it); the air cleaner isn't dirty (clean or replace it); the seat switch is functioning correctly (check the indicator and replace if necessary); the electrical connections are in good condition (clean and apply dielectric grease); the spark plug isn't fouled or improperly gapped (adjust or replace it); and the spark-plug wire is connected. For relay/switch issues or fuel system contamination, contact an Authorized Service Dealer.

  If the starter on your Toro Lawn Mower isn't cranking, make sure the blade-control switch is disengaged and the parking brake is engaged. Ensure the motion-control levers are in the NEUTRAL-LOCK position and that you are sitting in the operator’s seat. If these aren't the issue, charge the battery if it's dead. Check the electrical connections for good contact and replace the fuse if it's blown. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer if a relay or switch is damaged.
