within3mm(1/8inch)ofeachother.Makeno
adjustmentatthistime.
2.Positionbladesidetosideoninsidespindle
ofsidecuttingunitandcorrespondingoutside
spindleoffrontcuttingunit.Measurefromthe
oortothetipofthecuttingedgeoninsideedge
ofsidecuttingunittocorrespondingoutside
edgeoffrontcuttingunitandcompare.Theside
cuttingunitmeasurementshouldbewithin3mm
(1/8inch)ofthefrontcuttingunit.
Note:Allthreecuttingunitscastor
wheelsshouldremainonthegroundwith
counterbalanceapplied.
Note:Ifadjustmentsneedtobemadetomatch
thecutbetweenthefrontandsidecuttingunits,
maketheadjustmentstothesidecuttingunits
only.
3.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoo
highrelativetotheoutsideedgeofthefront
cuttingunit,removeone3mm(1/8inch)shim
fromthebottomofthefrontinsidecastorarm
onthesidecuttingunit(Figure31).Recheck
measurementbetweenoutsideedgesofboth
sidecuttingunitsandinsideedgeofsidecutting
unittooutsideedgeoffrontcuttingunit.
4.Ifinsideedgeisstilltoohigh,removean
additional3mm(1/8inch)shimfrombottomof
frontinsidecastorarmofthesidecuttingunit
andone3mm(1/8inch)shimfromthefront
outsidecastorarmofthesidecuttingunit.
5.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoo
lowrelativetotheoutsideedgeofthefront
cuttingunit,addone3mm(1/8inch)shimto
thebottomofthefrontinsidecastorarmonthe
sidecuttingunit.Checkmeasurementbetween
outsideedgesofbothsidecuttingunitsand
insideedgeofsidecuttingunittooutsideedge
offrontcuttingunit.
6.Ifinsideedgeisstilltoolow,addanadditional3
mm(1/8inch)shimtothebottomoffrontinside
castorarmofthesidecuttingunitandaddone
3mm(1/8inch)shimtothefrontoutsidecastor
armofthesidecuttingunit.
7.Oncecuttingheightmatchesattheedgesof
frontandsidecuttingunits,verifythatside
cuttingunitpitchisstill8to11mm(5/16to7/16
inch).Adjustasnecessary.
