FillingtheFuelTank
RecommendedFuel
Useonlyclean,freshdieselfuelorbiodieselfuels
withloworultra-low(<15ppm)sulfurcontent.The
minimumcetaneratingshouldbe40.Purchasefuelin
quantitiesthatcanbeusedwithin180daystoensure
fuelfreshness.
Fueltankcapacity:79L(21USgallons)
Usesummer-gradedieselfuel(Number2-D)at
temperaturesabove-7°C(20°F)andwinter-grade
dieselfuel(Number1-DorNumber1-D/2-Dblend)
below-7°C(20°F).Usingwinter-gradefuelat
lowertemperaturesprovidesalowerashpointand
cold-owcharacteristics,whichwilleasestartingand
reducefuel-lterplugging.
Usingsummer-gradefuelabove-7°C(20°F)will
contributetowardlongerfuel-pumplifeandincreased
powercomparedtowinter-gradefuel.
Important:Donotusekeroseneorgasoline
insteadofdieselfuel.Failuretoobservethis
cautionwilldamagetheengine.
BiodieselReady
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuel
ofuptoB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).The
petrodieselportionshouldbeloworultra-lowsulfur.
Observethefollowingprecautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmustmeet
specicationASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTM
D975orEN590.
•Paintedsurfacesmaybedamagedbybiodiesel
blends.
•UseB5(biodieselcontentof5%)orlesserblends
incoldweather.
•Monitorseals,hoses,andgasketsincontactwith
fuelastheymaydegradeovertime.
•Fuel-lterpluggingmaybeexpectedforatime
afterconvertingtobiodieselblends.
