What to do if my Toro 37797 doesn't discharge snow properly?
    • D
      Deborah McguireSep 6, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower runs but doesn't discharge snow well, consider these potential issues. First, ensure the throttle is in the FAST position when throwing snow. If it is, check that you're not moving too fast for the amount of snow; try shifting to a lower gear. Avoid trying to remove too much snow per swath, especially if it's heavy or wet. Make sure the discharge chute is not plugged. If those aren't the cause, the auger/impeller drive belt might be loose, off the pulley, worn, or broken. Try to unclog the discharge chute. Move the throttle to the FAST position. Reduce the amount of snow removed per swath. Do not overload the machine with extremely heavy or wet snow.

Make sure the fuel-vent cap isn't restricted and that the engine-oil level is correct. To resolve this, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. Move the choke to the ON position and press the primer 3 times. Open the fuel-shutoff valve. Move the throttle to the FAST position. Drain and/or fill the fuel tank with fresh fuel (not more than 30 days old). Connect the wire to the spark plug. Check the spark plug and adjust the gap if necessary. Replace the spark p...
