What to do if my Toro Snowthrower is not throwing snow?
    • R
      Richard RobertsonSep 3, 2025
If your Toro Snowthrower runs but doesn't discharge snow well, consider these possible causes: 1. The throttle is not in the Fast position when throwing snow, so move the throttle to the Fast position. 2. The machine is moving too fast to clear the snow, so shift the machine into a lower gear. 3. You are trying to remove too much snow per swath, so reduce the amount of snow removed per swath. 4. You are trying to remove extremely heavy or wet snow, so don't overload the machine with extremely heavy or wet snow. 5. The discharge chute is plugged, so unclog the discharge chute. 6. The auger/impeller drive belt is loose or is off the pulley. 7. The auger/impeller drive belt is worn or broken.
