1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),move
themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Adjustthemowerdecktothe76mm(3inches)
height-of-cutposition.
4.Measurethespringlength(Figure77).Ifthe
springlengthisbetween25.4to26cm(10to
10-1/4inches),fromposttopost,noadjustment
isneeded.
5.Loosentheboltsholdingtheidlerplate(Figure
77).
6.Insertaratchetorbreakerbarintothesquare
