2.Adjustthealternatortotheoutsideuntilthere
is7to9mm(1/4to11/32inch)deectionin
thebeltbetweentheengineandthealternator
pulleyswith10kg(22.1lb)offorce(Figure83).
3.Tightenthealternatorbolts.
4.Checkthedeectioninthebeltagainandadjust
thebeltifneeded.
5.Ifthedeectioniscorrect,tightenthebottom
andupperbolt(Figure83).

1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),move
themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Unlatchtheseatandtilttheseatforward.
4.Beginwitheithertheleftorrightmotion-control
lever.
5.Movethelevertotheneutralpositionbutnot
locked(Figure84).
6.Pulltheleverbackuntiltheclevispin(onarm
belowpivotshaft)contactstheendoftheslot
(justbeginningtoputpressureonthespring)
asshowninFigure84.
7.Checkwherethecontrolleverisrelativetonotch
inconsole(Figure84).
