•Removethejumperwirefromthe
wireharnessconnectorandplugthe
connectorintotheseatswitchwhen
youcompletetheadjustment.
•Neveroperatethemachinewiththe
jumperinstalledandtheseatswitch
bypassed.
7.Afterbothpumpneutralsareset,shutoffthe
machine.
8.Removethejumperwirefromthewireharness
connectorandplugtheconnectorintotheseat
switch.
9.Installtheseatrodandlowertheseatinto
position.
10.Removethejackstands.

Important:Thereareonly3measuringpositions
neededtolevelthemower.
SettingUptheMachine
1.Positionmoweronaatsurface.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),move
themotion-controlleverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCK
position,andengagetheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
4.Checktirepressureofthetires;ifneeded,adjust
to90kPa(13psi).
5.Lowerthemowertothe76mm(3inches)
height-of-cutposition.
6.Inspectthe4chains.
Note:Thechainsneedtohavetension.
Note:Adjusttherearchainstothetopofthe
slot,wheretheyareattachedtothemower.
•Ifarearchainisloose,lower(loosen)the
front-supportarmonthesameside;refer
toAdjustingtheFront-to-RearMowerPitch
(page68).
•Ifafrontchainisloose,raise(tighten)the
front-supportarmforthatchain;referto
AdjustingtheFront-to-RearMowerPitch
(page68).
