InstallingtheBlades
1.Installthebladeontothespindleshaft().
Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblade
mustbepointingupwardtowardtheinside
ofthemowertoensurepropercutting.
2.Installthespringdiskandbladebolt().
Note:Thespring-diskconemustbeinstalled
towardthebolthead().
3.Torquethebladeboltto115to150N∙m(85to
110ft-lb).

inseriousinjury.Also,contactwiththeblade
couldoccur.
Neveroperatethelawnmowerunlessyou
installacoverplate,amulchplate,ora
grasschuteandcatcher.
Makesurethatthegrassdeectorisinthe
downposition.
1.Removethelocknut,bolt,springandspacer
holdingthedeectortothepivotbrackets
(Figure102).
2.Removethedamagedorworngrassdeector.
3.Placethespacerandspringontothegrass
deector.PlacetheLendofthespringbehind
thedeckedge.
Note:MakesurethattheLendofthespringis
installedbehindthedeckedgebeforeinstalling
theboltasshowninFigure102
4.Installtheboltandnut.
5.PlacetheJ-hookendofthespringaroundthe
grassdeector(Figure102).
Important:Thegrassdeectormustbeable
tolowerintoposition.Liftthedeectorupto
testthatitlowersintothefull-downposition.
