1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Cleanaroundtheoildipstick(Figure34)sodirt
cannotfallintothellerholeanddamagetheengine.
4.Pulltheoildipstickoutandwipethemetalendclean
(Figure34).
5.Slidetheoildipstickfullyintothellertube.Pullthe
dipstickoutandlookatthemetalend(Figure34).If
theoillevelislow,slowlypouronlyenoughoilinto
thellholetoraisetheleveltothefullmark.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilbecausethismaycauseenginedamage.Do
notruntheenginewithoilbelowthelowmark
becausetheenginemaybedamagedasaresult.

1.Starttheengineandletitrunforveminutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers

4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Placeapanbelowtheoildrain.Removethedrain
plugandlettheoildraincompletely(Figure35).
6.Removetheoilllercapfromthetopoftheengine
(Figure37).Thiswillhelptheoiltodrain.
7.Installthedrainplugandtightenitto25-1/2ft-lb
(35N•m).
