slope.
Alwayssettheparkingbrakewhenyoustopthemachine
orleaveitunattended.Iftheparkingbrakedoesnothold
securely,adjustit.
CheckingtheParkingBrake
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Important:Ensurethatthemowerisonalevelsurface
whencheckingandadjustingthebrake.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
PTO.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Releasetheparkingbrake;refertoReleasingthe
ParkingBrake(page16).
4.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
Pressure(page43).
5.Withthebrakereleased,measurethedistancebetween
thebrakebarandthetireoneachside.
6.Usingthesidewiththesmallestclearance,ensurethat
thedistanceisbetween3and6mm(1/8and1/4
inches)asshowninFigure62);refertoAdjustingthe
Brakes(page46)whenadjustmentisneeded.
