Important:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachine
aredesignedtoremainonthecoverafterremoval.
Loosenallofthefastenersoneachcoverafewturns
sothatthecoverisloosebutstillattached,thengo
backandloosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.This
preventsyoufromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfree
oftheretainers.
ReplacingtheRightMower-DeckBelt
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Loosentheboltsandremovethebeltcoverswiththe
boltsattachedtothem.
4.Removethespringfromtheanchorpostonthe
idler-pulleyarm(Figure65).
5.Removethewornmowerbelt(Figure65).
6.Installthenewmowerbeltaroundthedeckpulleysand
idlerpulley(Figure65).
7.Installthespringontotheanchorpostonthe
idler-pulleyarm(Figure65).
8.Installthebeltcoversontothemowerdeckandsecure
thebolts.

5.Removethespringfromtheanchorpostonthe
idler-pulleyarm(Figure66).
6.Removethewornmowerbelt(Figure66).
7.Installthenewmowerbeltaroundthedeckpulleys,the
clutchpulley,andtheidlerpulley(Figure66).
8.Installthespringontotheanchorpost(Figure66).
9.Installtherightmowerbelt;refertoReplacingthe
RightMower-DeckBelt(page47).
10.Installthebeltcoversontothemowerdeckandsecure
thebolts.
