RemovingtheBlades
Thebladesmustbereplacedifasolidobjectishit,if
thebladeisoutofbalance,orifthebladeisbent.To
ensureoptimumperformanceandcontinuedsafety
conformanceofthemachine,usegenuineT oro
replacementblades.Replacementbladesmadeby
othermanufacturersmayresultinnon-conformance
withsafetystandards.
1.Holdthebladeendusingaragorthickly-padded
glove.
2.Removethebladebolt,thecurvedwasher,and
thebladefromthespindleshaft(Figure50).

SharpeningtheBlades
1.Usealetosharpenthecuttingedgeatboth
endsoftheblade(Figure51).Maintainthe
originalangle.Thebladeretainsitsbalanceif
thesameamountofmaterialisremovedfrom
bothcuttingedges.

65ft-lb).
LevelingtheMowerDeck
Checktoensurethemowerdeckislevelanytimeyou
installthemowerorwhenyouseeanunevencuton
yourlawn.
Themowerdeckmustbecheckedforbentblades
priortoleveling;anybentbladesmustberemoved
andreplaced.RefertoCheckingforBentBlades
(page42)beforecontinuing.
Themowerdeckmustbeleveledside-to-siderst
thenthefronttorearslopecanbeadjusted.
Requirements:
Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
Allfourtiremustbeproperlyinated.Referto
CheckingtheTirePressure(page41).
LevelingfromSide-to-Side
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceand
disengagetheblade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothe
PARKposition,stoptheengine,removethe
key,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Settheheight-of-cutlevertomiddleposition.
